The Delmonico Collection of Important Judaica was estimated at $4.1 to $5.5 million and featured 
a 15th Century illuminated Hebrew Bible and forty separate lots–including eleven printed on blue paper–of the Babylonian Talmud printed in Venice. Those two lots sold for multiples of their high estimates. The illuminated bible went to $362,000 (high estimate was $200k) and the Talmud brought in $2.25 million ($977,000 was the most they hoped for) with the eleven lots on blue paper going to one collector who plans to keep them together.
In all, the collection scored $7.7 million even though the companion sales of Judaica at Sotheby’s were more like the rest of the art market these days.
