Good Luck and Keep writing…your a great story teller! Go Browns!!!!

  99. Midge Says:

I have copied below the email I sent to NBC after your appearance on their morning show.

    Good morning:

I just watched Meredith’s interview with James Frey and decided I needed to express my feelings to her and NBC. I have read both books by James Frey; A million Little Pieces and My Friend Leonard. I also have a background in dealing with alcohol and drug abusers (Chicago Police Department) so I can speak with some authority. Mr. Frey’s first book – A Million Little Pieces was inspirational for individuals faced with the truth of their addiction. It was well written and covered some very sensitive material that only an individual who has battled addiction could bring to the written word so accurately. His “liberties” are so unimportant in the grand scheme. I was disappointed in the interview because, once again, it centered more on Oprah Winfrey and her personal hurt and vindictive nature than on Mr. Frey’s new book. Since when has Oprah Winfrey become the end all judge of human errors? I would have liked to know more about the current book and less about what happened in the past according to Oprah. I will be ordering his book and hope that it is as well written as his other books, more importantly I hope he continues to write and that all of the media stop bringing Oprah’s personal offense with Mr. Frey to an end. Maybe you should take a closer look at the moral and social standards of other guests of the Oprah show.

    Regards,

  100. Renelyn Javier Says:

Thank you for coming to Toronto!
I was so glad i finally got to meet you :)

james frey you are such an inspiration. i love all of your books. they are simply amazing. please come to the atlanta area. i would do anything to meet you and get a picture with you, you have no idea.

  104. Gina Says:

Your books are brilliant James. I felt deeply for the man you portrayed in “A Million Little Pieces”. At the time I was reading it I was very close to someone who had an alcohol addiction living in a men’s rehab house. The book hit very close to home. I am excited to find out you have a new book out. I can not wait to read it. You are an amazing person and I am so happy that you have made it successfully through all your life struggles.

  105. shelbey Says:

    please come to chicago.
i’ve been an avid reader all my life and have just now realized and appreciated such amazingly beautiful writing that moves me, makes me cry, makes me appreciate, makes me want to be a better writer.
you inspire me to be a better writer.
    please come to chicago.
i’d love to say thank you in person.

  106. Louise Says:

I was so hoping you would come to the DAllas /Fort Worth area!

    Pretty please :)

  107. Jessica Says:

I was wondering if you had another book in the making. I have read all three of your books and love them!! I read A Million Little Peices and then found out about the controversy and I don’t care because it was an excellent book!! All three books moved me; they made me cry and laugh! Are you planning any tours in Texas?

  108. Tiffany Says:

Oh, I wish you would come to Houston! Could you possibly make it to Austin? I love BSM and I wish you all the best. “O” can suck an egg as far as AMLP & I am concerned. That siutation equated (to me) more or mess that the curtain has been pulled away and there is no Wizard… just Oprah. And a million brainwashed followers.
Anyhow - LOVE your books, please keep publishing! I wish you and yours nothing but the greatest happiness in life.
    TM
