But finding out where they came from is incredibly difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People love to believe that they&#8217;re from an advanced extraterrestrial civilization, and this hypothesis hasn&#8217;t been ruled out entirely by researchers at Breakthrough Listen, a scientific research program dedicated to finding evidence of intelligent life in the universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Astronomers were able to pin down the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2018\/01\/10\/world\/repeating-fast-radio-burst-frb121102\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">\u00a0source of a repeating fast radio burst in 2017<\/a>.
