Just in time for fall semester,\u00a0n+1<\/em>, the Brooklyn-based journal of prose combat, has\u00a0a new line of T-shirts<\/a>. (Hey,\u00a0The New York Review of Books<\/em>\u00a0sells\u00a0Illuminated Pocket Magnifiers<\/a>, okay?)<\/p>\n

While we’re somewhat surprised they’re not referred to as “Cotton Monuments,” the shirts do come in two colors: socialist red and existentialist black.\u00a0The Times<\/em>\u00a0A.O. Scott might\u00a0say<\/a>\u00a0these unisex American Apparel shirts, “sometimes display a certain pained 21st-century ambivalence about the culture they inhabit.” They’re also limited edition and come in five sizes. (“Note: women may want to buy a size down.”)<\/p>\n

In case you’re wondering, the shirts are modeled by writer\u00a0Wesley Yang<\/a>\u00a0and managing editor\u00a0Kate Perkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n
