The Black List 2018 is here \u2014 a survey of the best screenplays\u00a0that have not yet gone into production.<\/p>\n

This year, the 73 films included films about Serena and Venus Williams\u2019 hard-driving father (Zach Baylin\u2019s \u201cKing Richard\u201d), the sexual assault case against former NBA star Kobe Bryant (Mike Schneider\u2019s \u201cMamba\u201d) and Cody Brotter\u2019s \u201cDrudge\u201d about The Drudge Report founder Matt Drudge and how he broke the Monica Lewinsky scandal.<\/p>\n

The list also includes Emmy winner Lena Waithe\u2019s \u201cQueen & Slim,\u201d a disgruntled Snapchat employee\u2019s account of founder Evan Spiegel (Elissa Karasik\u2019s \u201cFrat Boy Genius\u201d) and Gary Spinelli\u2019s \u201cRub & Tug\u201d a project that has been in limbo<\/a> since Scarlett Johansson\u2019s exit from the project because of objections to her playing a trans man.<\/p>\n
