USA Network<\/a>\u00a0has put in development\u00a0Elements<\/a>,<\/em>\u00a0a high-concept drama from writer\u00a0James Frey<\/a>\u00a0and his Full Fathom Five, Amblin TV, Intrigue and Universal Cable Prods.<\/p>\n

Written by Frey,\u00a0Elements<\/em>\u00a0is based on Babel Films\u2019 French-language Canadian film\/web series\u00a0Time Out<\/em>\u00a0(Temps Mort). It follows the aftermath of an extreme environmental shift across the world. On a beautiful day in Miami, it starts to snow, and doesn\u2019t stop \u2014 leaving the world frozen as one man searches for his fianc\u00e9e before the world falls into complete stasis.<\/p>\n

This would mark the TV writing debut of Frey, who started off as a feature scribe with 1998\u2019s\u00a0Kissing a Fool<\/em>\u00a0before embarking on book writing, including his controversial debut novel\u00a0A Million Little Pieces.<\/em>\u00a0He then launched the YA publishing company Full Fathom Five, which has been leveraging its IP into producing TV series and movies.<\/p>\n

Elements<\/em>\u00a0reunites Full Fathom Five and Amblin TV, who recently collaborated on the TNT pilot\u00a0Lumen.<\/em><\/p>\n
