The film,\u00a0<em>Killer Bees<\/em>, follows\u00a0the\u00a0Bridgehampton School basketball team\u00a0in their quest to defend their 2015 state championship title.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official synopsis, the documentary goes beyond the court and \u201cexplores\u00a0how\u00a0Bridgehampton\u2019s African American\u00a0community came to exist in the heart of the Hamptons and its struggle to survive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The true story stands in stark contrast to the public perception of Long Island\u2019s East End as a summer playground for the rich and powerful, where artists and collectors gather to party and escape the stifling city heat.
