In a video of the piece, titled\u00a0<a style=\"font-style: inherit;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymotion.com\/video\/x1yaxll_une-artiste-expose-son-sexe-sous-l-origine-du-monde_redband\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Mirror of Origin<\/span><\/a>, the artist can be seen dressed in a gold sequin dress, exposing her vagina while the museum\u2019s security guards crowding around\u00a0her and usher cheering visitors out of the gallery. The artist was eventually taken away by police. The museum and two of its guards have filed sexual exhibitionism complaints against the artist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cIf you ignore the context, you could construe this performance as an act of exhibitionism, but what I did was not an impulsive act,\u201d\u00a0De Robertis\u00a0<a style=\"font-style: inherit;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wort.lu\/fr\/culture\/une-performance-artistique-qui-pose-question-miroir-de-l-origine-de-l-art-ou-pas-538ee0fcb9b3988708030911\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">told<\/a>\u00a0<span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Luxemburger Wort<\/span>. \u201cThere is a gap in art history, the absent point of view of the object of the gaze. In his realist painting, the painter shows the open legs, but the vagina remains closed. He does not reveal the hole, that is to say, the eye.
