<\/a><\/span>Sex Pistols’ Johnny Rotten Sued for Assaulting Assistant<\/a><\/span>
\nStop press! This guy may be angry and violent!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"PVC<\/a>There may be problems ahead for\u00a0Sex Pistols\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>mouthpiece Johnny Rotten (or\u00a0John Lydon<\/strong><\/a>, if you’re not nasty), as the perennially assholish punk icon has been sued by a (presumably former) assistant, Roxane Davis. Yesterday,\u00a0TMZ.com<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0reported that a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court claims that “the Sex Pistol singer allegedly beat the crap out of a female assistant after calling her every horrible name in the book after the taping of a television show in 2007.”<\/p>\n

The suit suggests that Rotten “cocked back his fist … and punched her in the face” when Lydon found himself in a hotel room at the Ritz Carlton that, for whatever reason, didn’t share a door with another assistant named Rambo. It was then that Rotten and Rambo allegedly starting berating Davis verbally. Davis reportedly brought this incident to the attention to her supervisor on the show Rotten was working on at the time, but her complaints were ignored.<\/p>\n

No word yet on whether this suit will affect the Pistols’ plans to tour the world this summer. And on June 30,\u00a0Fremantle Entertainment<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will release a DVD of recent live Sex Pistols performances entitled\u00a0There\u2019ll Always Be an England<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.
