It&#8217;s the work of a fifth-grade class at Public School 9 in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/topics\/Brooklyn\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Brooklyn\">Brooklyn<\/a>, participants in the Guggenheim&#8217;s annual &#8220;A Year With Children&#8221; exhibit.<\/p>\n<p>Not exactly Crayola stick figures, is it?<\/p>\n<p>The creativity and intellectual thought displayed by the budding art-world stars even impressed\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/topics\/Roland+Augustine\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Roland Augustine\">Roland Augustine<\/a>, who owns a gallery in Chelsea.<\/p>\n<p>Augustine, head of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/topics\/Luhring+Augustine+Gallery\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Luhring Augustine Gallery\">Luhring Augustine Gallery<\/a>\u00a0and president of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/topics\/Art+Dealers+Association+of+America\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Art Dealers Association of America\">Art Dealers Association of America<\/a>, said he was impressed by the &#8220;celebratory&#8221; range of colors and media in the exhibit, which runs through June 13.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The beauty of children&#8217;s art is that it&#8217;s unedited &#8211; it&#8217;s direct,&#8221; he said. &#8220;And it&#8217;s so empowering for the students.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A fifth-grader&#8217;s collage of a heron in a pond with a broken mask at the bottom of the water was deemed &#8220;amazing&#8221; by Augustine.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s so poignant and introspective &#8211; the mask is bifurcated as if to show what&#8217;s being imagined.
