New ‘Legendary’ Nas Track Featured In James Toback’s Upcoming Mike Tyson Documentary<\/a><\/h3>\n

When we wrote about the Cannes 2008 line-up, we briefly mentioned\u00a0James\u00a0Toback’s upcoming documentary that will debut at the Croisette\u00a0about former heavy weight boxing champion\u00a0Mike Tyson<\/span>.Well, apparently a new\u00a0Nas<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0track titled, “Legendary,”\u00a0will be featured in the doc\u00a0<\/a>according<\/span>\u00a0to Angry Ape. The score has been composed by hip-hop producer and keyboard player\u00a0Salaam\u00a0Remi<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0known for his work with the Godson (Remi<\/span><\/span>\u00a0also producer ‘Be A Nigger, Too” from the controversially and still-unreleased upcoming album\u00a0Nigger<\/span><\/a>.)<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

The documentary, entitled “Tyson,” evidently follows the path that the fighter took after both his championship losses and his eventual fall from grace.\u00a0Toback<\/span><\/span>\u00a0has said that he amassed over 30 hours of interviews with Tyson which took almost a year to complete<\/a>. \u201cMike made himself completely vulnerable in this film, and he was honest about all the things that have highlighted his life,\u201d said\u00a0Toback<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Toback<\/span><\/span>\u00a0earned Tyson’s trust years ago when the mercurial pugilist played himself in the 1991 film, “Black and White<\/span><\/a>,” which also featured\u00a0Wu-Tang<\/span>‘s<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Method Man,\u00a0Inspectah<\/span><\/span>Deck, Masta Killa,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Ghostface<\/span><\/span>Killah,\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> and an infamous scene where\u00a0uber<\/span><\/span>-tart\u00a0Bijou Phillips<\/span>\u00a0blows ‘s\u00a0Raekwon<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(the MPAA gave the film an NC-17 rating initially until this sex scene was edited down).<\/p>\n
