Well, among other things, he has moved aggressively into the art world. Along with\u00a0<strong style=\"font-weight: bold\">Andy Spade<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong style=\"font-weight: bold\">Bill Powers<\/strong>, Frey bankrolled the\u00a0<strong style=\"font-weight: bold\">Half Gallery<\/strong>\u00a0at 208 Forsyth Street in New York\u2019s booming Lower East Side. The new space opened last month with a show of paintings by\u00a0<strong>Matt Damhave<\/strong>, co-founder of the fashion label\u00a0<strong>Imitation of Christ<\/strong>. Among his champions are art-book publisher extraordinaire\u00a0<strong style=\"font-weight: bold\">John McWhinnie<\/strong>, who is putting out a deluxe edition of\u00a0<em>Bright Shiny Morning<\/em>, and artist\u00a0<strong style=\"font-weight: bold\">Richard Prince<\/strong>, who is doing the cover for the book and who says he counts Frey as a personal friend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\" style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px\">McWhinnie\u2019s collaboration with Frey is titled\u00a0<em>Wives, Wheels, Weapons<\/em>, and pairs three sections of the new novel (including one about an adulterous affair that was deemed too hot for the American edition) with photo illustrations by fashion photographer\u00a0<strong style=\"font-weight: bold\">Terry Richardson<\/strong>. The book is priced at $150 for the hardcover and $75 for softcover, both in an edition of 1,000. In addition, five copies of an even-more-exclusive &#8220;Wife \/ Girlfriend&#8221; edition, accompanied by art works from Prince and Richardson, are signed by all three men.
