In preparation for this year\u2019s edition of the\u00a0Gathering of the Juggalos<\/a>, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope appeared onThe Adam Carolla Show<\/em>\u00a0where the longtime radio personality went a little off-base in taking listeners through an in depth recap of the\u00a0Insane Clown Posse<\/a>\u2018s history. From the group\u2019s birth in the suburbs of Detroit to their fallout with Disney to present day grinding, the interview offers some fantastic insight into the duo\u2019s success and ideologies.<\/p>\n

After Adam Carolla discusses the similarities between a concert cellist and the Insane Clown Posse, Shaggy goes off on a tremendous speech about the importance of hustling and grinding in order to get what you want:<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have to keep banging on these pots and pans. If you don\u2019t, you won\u2019t have their attention. They\u2019ll stop lookin\u2019 at you if you\u2019re not makin\u2019 no noise. We\u2019re right here!\u2019 There\u2019s so much going on out there in the world that if you don\u2019t bang on shit they\u2019re gonna look away. They\u2019re gonna look away, man. You better keep their attention. And then when you got their attention you better stand up and fuckin\u2019 dance or do something that\u2019s gonna keep their attention because, better believe that to the right of you and to the left of you there\u2019s guys dancing all over the place doin\u2019 impressive shit, man. You gotta hang with them\u2026<\/p>\n

You see that mountain out there? If you want to get to the top of that mountain you can sit here on the bottom and you can wait for a fuckin\u2019 ski-lift that ain\u2019t never comin\u2019; you can wait for some superstar to come pick you up in a helicopter and fly you up to the top; you can wait for somebody to come lift you and carry you on their back, which ain\u2019t ever gonna happen; or you can slowly but surely start walkin\u2019 that muhfucker. It may be slow, it may hurt your feet, it may take forever, it may be not fun, it may suck! But eventually you will start to get up that muhfucker. Eventually you will turn around and say, \u2018Wow! Look at how far we\u2019ve came. We\u2019ve been walkin\u2019 so long that when I turn around and look behind me, we\u2019ve made some groundwork!\u2019\u2026 But that\u2019s how you make it: You walk!\u2026 Think about it: Your destiny is in your hands.
