James Frey’s first memoir of his treatment at an alcohol and drug addiction rehabilitation facility,\u00a0A Million Little Pieces<\/em>\u00a0(2003), and its follow-up,\u00a0My Friend Leonard<\/em>\u00a0(2005-also a memoir), became New York Times #1 bestsellers.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A Million Little Pieces<\/em>\u00a0remained on the New York Times best seller list for 44 weeks, selling in excess of 4.5 million copies. The New Yorker praised the book as \u201cA frenzied, electrifying description of the experience.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

His latest work,\u00a0Bright Shiny Morning<\/em>, published by HarperCollins, will be released in June 2008. This new book, a novel, is set in contemporary Los Angeles and tracks the lives of various characters from different backgrounds.
