Screenwriter Marti Noxon is appearing at Comic-Con on Friday’s “Girls Gone Wild” panel, where the\u00a0Buffy<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Angel\u00a0<\/em>veteran is likely\u00a0to have some things to say about\u00a0her next film\u00a0(after the upcoming\u00a0Fright Night<\/em>\u00a0remake) — the teen sci-fi adventure\u00a0I Am Number Four<\/em>, produced by\u00a0Steven Spielberg. But you don’t have to wait that long for info on the film. Find out what Noxon just told me\u00a0about\u00a0I Am Number Four<\/em>\u00a0after the jump.<\/p>\n

“It’s a big genre action-adventure,” says Noxon, “with the spirit of\u00a0Spider-Man<\/em>. It’s not an R-rated movie. It’s a family movie particularly aimed at teens. It’s really based on a series of books that are starting to come out. It’s a more classic kind of [story about] an unassuming guy who discovers he has extraordinary powers and it’s got a pretty strong love story element too, which was really fun to write for me. [Laughs] So it has a little bit of the Buffy-Angel relationship, it has that kind of feel. It’s being directed by D.J. Caruso, who did\u00a0Disturbia<\/em>. It’s big and visual and spooky and super hot.”<\/p>\n
