WHO IS PITTACUS LORE?<\/a><\/h2>\n

T<\/span><\/span>he latest YA mega-sensation poised to vie for\u00a0Twilight\u2019s<\/em>\u00a0throne is the book\u00a0I Am Number Four<\/em><\/a>, the first of a new alien-teen-superhero series authored by the enigmatic \u201cPittacus Lore.\u201d Note that while the book doesn\u2019t launch until August 3rd,\u00a0Michael Bay is already producing the movie<\/a>\u00a0(in conjunction with Steven Spielberg).<\/p>\n

But just who is Pittacus Lore? According to\u00a0HarperCollins\u2019s author page<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Pittacus Lore is Lorien\u2019s ruling Elder. He has been on Earth for the last twelve years, preparing for the war that will decide Earth\u2019s fate. His whereabouts are unknown.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

You see, the book is actually written by one of the characters\u00a0in<\/em>\u00a0the book. Neat! Crazy! Mind-bending!<\/p>\n

Except\u00a0Pittacus Lore is actually James Frey<\/a>, the notorious liar and drug addict whose\u201cmemoir\u201d\u00a0A Million Little Pieces<\/em>\u00a0was revealed to be more fiction than non-fiction<\/a>\u00a0(afterOprah embarrassingly lauded Mr. Frey for his gritty honesty<\/a>).<\/p>\n

So, y\u2019know, just keep that in mind: Pittacus Lore is James Frey. James Frey is Pittacus Lore. The same James Frey who scammed Oprah and millions of naive memoir-readers. The same James Frey who somehow still has a literary career, utilizing various\u00a0pseudonyms<\/a>\u00a0to publish shitty books.\u00a0That<\/em>\u00a0James Frey.<\/p>\n
