<\/param><\/param><\/param><\/embed><\/object><\/center>LIVING COLOUR<\/strong>\u00a0will release its first new studio album in five years, entitled\u00a0“The Chair In The Doorway”<\/strong>, on September 15 via\u00a0Megaforce Records<\/strong>. The legendary downtown New York City rock band, who exploded out of CBGB in the late ’80s, landing all over\u00a0MTV<\/strong>, the cover ofRolling Stone<\/strong>\u00a0and stadium stages around the world with its\u00a0Grammy Award<\/a><\/strong>-winning, multi-platinum debut album\u00a0“Vivid”<\/strong>, is back and as “fierce” as ever.<\/p>\n

Original members\u00a0Vernon Reid<\/strong>,\u00a0Corey Glover<\/strong>,\u00a0Will Calhoun<\/strong>\u00a0and (since 1993)\u00a0Doug Wimbish<\/strong>\u00a0gathered at\u00a0Sono Studios<\/strong>\u00a0outside of Prague in the Czech Republic during the fall of 2008 and spring of 2009 to write and record what would become\u00a0“The Chair In The Doorway”<\/strong>. The results stretch from the modern soul anthem\u00a0“Behind The Sun”<\/strong>\u00a0to the politically-charged, heavy rock of\u00a0“DecaDance”<\/strong>\u00a0to the sacred steel blues of\u00a0“Bless Those”<\/strong>. The artwork for\u00a0“The Chair In The Doorway”<\/strong>\u00a0was compiled from thousands of contest entries by fans from around the world.<\/p>\n

“We feel like this is the best record we’ve made yet and we couldn’t be more excited to be releasing it with the legendary\u00a0Megaforce Records<\/strong>,” says guitarist\u00a0Vernon Reid<\/strong>. “Some of our favorite bands were or areMegaforce<\/strong>\u00a0artists \u2014\u00a0METALLICA<\/strong>,\u00a0BAD BRAINS<\/strong>,\u00a0ANTHRAX<\/strong>,\u00a0BLACK CROWES<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 so it’s an honor to be part of a label with a great legacy.”<\/p>\n
