It&#8217;s also a time capsule of New York maternal anxiety c. 1968 filtered through the minds of <strong>Ira Levin<\/strong> and <strong>Roman Polanski<\/strong>. You know, a classic.<\/p>\n<p>A classic which may very likely be remade by <strong>Michael Bay<\/strong> (<em>Transformers<\/em>, <em>Armageddon<\/em>, <em>Bad Boys<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Paramount, the owner of the <em>Rosemary&#8217;s<\/em> property, is close to completing talks with Bay&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/company\/co0071240\/\" target=\"_blank\">Platinum Dunes<\/a> production company to approve a remake. Platinum Dunes, which is helmed by Bay alongside <strong>Andrew Form<\/strong> and <strong>Brad Fuller<\/strong>, has been on a horror movie remake kick as of late. The other films they&#8217;ve landed the rights to include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> <em>A Nightmare on Elm Street<\/em> (2010)<\/li>\n<li> <em>The Birds<\/em> (2009)<\/li>\n<li> <em>Friday the 13th<\/em> (2009)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Platinum Dunes were also behind the recent <em>Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/em>, <em>Amityville Horror<\/em> and <em>Texas Chainsaw Massacre<\/em> remakes; it&#8217;s odd company for what&#8217;s widely considered to be one of the best psychological horror films of all time.The current word is that Fuller is currently soliciting pitches from various horror-oriented Hollywood screenwriters.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a nightmare of satanic proportion &#8211; there are some movies, nay masterpieces that must never be remade.
