This week, that scenario started to feel less theoretical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anthropic, a leading AI company, announced that it would withhold its latest model, Mythos Preview, from the public, citing unprecedented\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/tech\/security\/anthropic-project-glasswing-mythos-preview-claude-gets-limited-release-rcna267234\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vulnerability-discovery capabilities<\/a>\u00a0that could cause significant damage in the wrong hands.
