The New York fair\u2014one of the city\u2019s most established and historic\u2014opened yesterday, September 4, at the Javits Center and quickly surpassed expectations across price ranges, leaving dealers cautiously hopeful that this season might mark the start of a healthier moment, at least for the U.S. market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPeople are excited to be \u2018back to school\u2019\u2014both dealers and collectors,\u201d New York dealer\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/observer.com\/person\/david-nolan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">David Nolan<\/a>\u00a0told Observer.
