Honoring the late Gaetano Pesce, the annual event in New Canaan brought together a cadre of guests across art, design, and literature for a celebration featuring new exhibitions and a lively dance performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Glass House<\/a>\u00a0welcomed a design-forward crowd to New Canaan for its annual Summer Party\u2014a vibrant afternoon of art, architecture, and tribute. Honoring the late\u00a0Gaetano Pesce<\/a>, the gathering debuted Big Surprise 2, a limited-edition resin vase created with Italian furniture design firm Meritalia and inspired by two Feltri chairs from the host\u2019s own collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DJ Pete Brockman set the tone, while Max Mara\u2019s\u00a0Whitney Bag<\/a>\u00a0activation and gelato cart gathered curious eyes across the lawn. As attendees including James Frey and Paul Goldberger; designers\u00a0Sophie Lou Jacobsen<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Maximilian Eicke<\/a>; artists Deborah Brown and Naudline Pierre; Aldrich Museum Director Cybele Maylone,\u00a0creative director and curator\u00a0Abby Bangser<\/a>, and Phaidon\u2019s Editor-at-Large\u00a0Spencer Bailey<\/a>\u00a0took in the scene, the overarching mood of the afternoon couldn\u2019t be missed\u2014spirited, sculptural, and unmistakably Pesce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
