OK, it\u2019s been a long time since we\u2019ve asked you to submit\u00a0these<\/a>\u00a0(and it\u2019s not like you were ever flooding HQ with material), so we\u2019ve decided to get the ball rolling and post one of our own from last night\u2019s launch party for\u00a0The Rumpus<\/a>\u00a0at Crash Mansion. To set the scene for you,\u00a0 founder Stephen Elliot (who we interviewed\u00a0here<\/a>) was on stage giving a rundown of his site, and said something along the lines of, \u201cWe\u2019re like a literary magazine that plays by the Internet\u2019s rules, meaning we update at least 15 times a day \u2014 like a Gawker, or a Huffington Post, but we\u2019re not mean.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/a>Girl #1: Omigod, I love Gawker!<\/p>\n

Girl #2: [Breathlessly] Omigod, I love Gawker too!<\/p>\n

They proceeded to chat about their mutual love for the site \u2014 Gawker, not The Rumpus \u2014 as James Frey took the stage and read a hilarious unpublished piece that he claimed was going to be part of a new Damien Hirst project about Kate Moss. It was all about how she secretly has an IQ of 195 and is working in a secret lab on a formula that will allow her to live forever. But it\u2019s way better than we\u2019re making it sound.<\/p>\n
