He was the voice of\u00a0<em>Monday Night Football<\/em>\u00a0for 20 years, then\u00a0<em>Sunday Night Football<\/em>\u00a0for 16. When the 1989 World Series was disrupted by an earthquake, Michaels\u2019s voice was the one viewers heard just as the broadcast went static.
