Rendon\/The Daily Beast\/Lionsgate<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s the year 2000, and you\u2019re an unsuspecting tourist at Universal Studios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re on the studio backlot tour, seated on one of those trams as it trundles up a peaceful residential-looking street. Your guide points out one of the houses. It\u2019s seen better days (namely in 1982, when it served as a cheery brothel run by Dolly Parton) and looks decidedly sinister: ramshackle clapboards painted a sinister gray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suddenly, a man staggers out of the front door, covered in blood and wearing someone else\u2019s skin. He leers and waves at your wide-eyed group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 20 years later, the man, actor Bill Moseley, recalled to The Daily Beast\u2019s Obsessed how the tour guide didn\u2019t miss a beat, announcing, \u201c\u2018And on your right, you\u2019ll see Rob Zombie\u2019s movie&nbsp;<em>House of 1,000 Corpses&nbsp;<\/em>in production.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This spring marks that movie\u2019s 20th anniversary. A nasty little stink bomb of a grindhouse slasher, the \u201cplot\u201d of\u00a0<em>House of 1,000 Corpses<\/em>, if it can be called that, concerns four kids (including a pre-<em>Office\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/rainn-wilson-book-office-actor-releases-soul-pancake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rainn Wilson<\/a>) who get lost on the backroads of America while searching for a local legend named Dr. Satan.
