He was 91. The Broadway icon died Friday, November 26th at his home in Roxbury, Conn. He was 91.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His shows, from the comedic \u201cA Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum\u201d to the ground-breaking \u201cCompany\u201d to the operatic \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/sweeney-todd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sweeney Todd<\/a>\u201d to the experimental \u201cPacific Overtures,\u201d transformed the Broadway musical stage, influencing and advancing the medium.
