She passed away last Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While I wait to get more details from her distraught family,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/quentin-tarantino\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Quentin Tarantino<\/a>\u00a0asked to memorialize Lucas and express his forever gratitude to her taking a chance on an unproven filmmaker and granting rights to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/stealers-wheel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stealers Wheel<\/a>\u00a0song \u201cStuck in the Middle with You<em>\u201c<\/em>\u00a0for use in his directorial debut\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/reservoir-dogs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reservoir Dogs<\/a>.<\/em>\u00a0Tarantino suggests you cannot hear that song even now and not think of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/michael-madsen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Michael Madsen<\/a>\u00a0dancing around a kidnapped police officer trussed to a chair, as Madsen dances around him in menacing fashion, cutting off his ear and planning to set him aflame. It was a shocking, career-launching moment for the filmmaker, who still sounds a bit surprised that fortune smiled on him when Daly said yes.
