Run by the Literary Review, the bad sex awards were set up by Auberon Waugh &#8220;with the aim of gently dissuading authors and publishers from including unconvincing, perfunctory, embarrassing or redundant passages of a sexual nature in otherwise sound literary novels&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/lightworks.typepad.com\/photos\/uncategorized\/purr.jpg\" align=\"right\" height=\"164\" width=\"222\" hspace=\"15\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-left: 0px; border-collapse: collapse; background-repeat: no-repeat; margin-bottom: 13px; padding: 0px\">The former spin doctor may take heart from the implication that his debut is an &#8220;otherwise sound literary novel&#8221;.
