The hip-hop titan is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2020\/05\/quarantine-classic-concerts-the-up-in-smoke-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">old-school<\/a>, and to him Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and all the rest have done nothing more than destroy the artist mystique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During a chat with\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2018\/01\/report-jimmy-iovine-leaving-apple\/\" target=\"_blank\">fellow music mogul<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spin.com\/2018\/06\/dr-dre-jimmy-iovine-25-million-beats-royalties-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\">Beats Electronics<\/a>\u00a0co-founder\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.spin.com\/tags\/jimmy-iovine\" target=\"_blank\">Jimmy Iovine<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gq-magazine.co.uk\/culture\/article\/dr-dre-jimmy-iovine-interview\" target=\"_blank\"><em>British GQ<\/em><\/a>, Dre expressed his qualms with these platforms.\u00a0\u201cI probably would\u2019ve hated social media when I was coming up,\u201d he confessed. \u201cThere\u2019s a certain mystique that gets destroyed. I like the mystique. I like waiting. I don\u2019t need anybody to know where I am every minute or what I\u2019m doing.
