The soundtrack to the highly anticipated film \u201cQueen & Slim<\/a>\u201d will be released by Motown on Nov. 15, it was announced today. The 17-song collection features new tracks from\u00a0Ms. Lauryn Hill<\/a>,\u00a0Megan Thee Stallion<\/a>,\u00a0Lil Baby<\/a>,\u00a0Vince Staples<\/a>\u00a0featuring 6lack X Mereba, Tiana Major 9 &\u00a0EARTHGANG<\/a>\u00a0and Coast Contra featuring BJ The Chicago Kid and Syd. Classic songs by Roy Ayers, Bilal and Mike Jones can also be heard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starring\u00a0Daniel Kaluuya<\/a>, who was\u00a0nominated for an Academy award for his role in Jordan Peele\u2019s \u201cGet Out,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and Jodie Turner-Smith (\u201cThe Neon Demon\u201d), \u201cQueen & Slim<\/a>\u201d is a modern re-telling of Bonnie & Clyde that confronts race relations and police brutality in America.\u00a0Melina Matsoukas (\u201cMaster of None,\u201d \u201cInsecure\u201d) makes her feature directorial debut with the film.\u00a0Lena Waithe<\/a>, the first black woman to win the Emmy award for outstanding writing for a comedy series, is credited as a writer alongside James Frey, of\u00a0\u201cA Million Little Pieces\u201d<\/a>\u00a0fame.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
