Enjoyed the Irvine interview. Loved Bright Shiny Morning! Excellent bites out of the meat of L.A. Still think AMLP should be required reading in schools; the reality of the destruction is clear. Fact or fiction is not the issue. Keep on writing, James!

A Million Little Pieces was a fabulous book, It made me laugh and broke my heart. I do not care if the whole of it was fiction and cannot see what difference it makes. I felt for the addict in the book whether he was real or not would not have changed the way I felt. If it was James Frey’s truth and he’s a liar, so what it’s still one of the best books I have ever read.

Just finished reading AMLP. Have to say I agree with others comments. The story is gripping and heartbreaking whether is 100% true or not. My 11 year old asked me why I was reading a book that was written by someone that lied. I told him that the basic story is of someone that is a drug addict and his battle with that problem; the rest is just details. His remark to me was that if he was writing a story about himself he would probably add to it to make it more interesting. He gets it. Why doesn’t anybody else. I’m talking to you, TSG & OW!
